New note taker for the iPad: Projectbook

Techstination feature for Tuesday, August 14, 2012

A new note taker for the iPad.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.     A new app for second and third generation iPads has arrived designed to help you take notes and keep track of just about everything.   Projectbook from Theory.io lets you use text, photos, sketches and a variety of file types to organize info.   Founder and CEO Peter Tamte, who has worked with Apple and is a veteran of the video game industry says it was born out of frustration…

“When I got my iPad, the one thing I really wanted most  was a single tool that let me keep all the different kinds of information I use to get things done together in one place.  Sync that information across my different devices and then help me find it, even if I forget to tag something or lost my Internet connection.  I couldn’t find that, and so when I was complaining about that to some guys in the office,  they thought well maybe what we ought to do is we ought to do that ourselves.”

And first out is the Projectbook app for the iPad with more platforms to come.    You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
