Samsung means business with Galaxy Note 10.1

Techstination feature for Tuesday, August 28, 2012

Samsung means business with the Galaxy Note 10.1.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   When it comes to finding useful new features for tablets,  Samsung has raised the bar with the new Galaxy Note 10.1.   With an S-Pen that docks into the tablet,  the note taking and drawing capabilities are above anything else out there and its quad-core processor and multi-tasking make using all kinds of apps a better experience.   Samsung Electronics of America President Tim Baxter says it is all about creativity…

“If you look at it, you’re able to take pictures and use Adobe Photoshop, that was optimized for Samsung’s Galaxy 10.1, that enables you to cut out a picture and put it into a backdrop, really to create new experiences with this product.”

The screen is crisp, if not quite on a level with Apple’s Retina display.   The price is on the high side, about 500 dollars for the 16 gigabyte WiFi only model.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.  I’m Fred Fishkin.
