A better robot for a dirty job.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.     The folks at iRobot are out with a new and improved version of their Looj robotic gutter cleaner.  What’s different about the Looj 330?   iRobot’s Jeff Karlson…

“The first thing is this robot, for the first time, has autonomous functionality, very similar to our Roomba and our Scooba lines of robots, it has the iRobot clean button on it.  What this allows a user to do is to put the robot into the gutter and simply hit one button and the robot will travel down the gutter and it will sense and adapt to the debris that it encounters and clean the gutter all on its own.”

The price, about 300 dollars.   iRobot has also announced new models of its Roomba vaccums.   The 600 series models feature  improved brush design, air flow and cleaning.   Pricing starts at about 350 dollars.  There’s more info at store.irobot.com.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
