Olympus continues to grow its Pen line of cameras

Techstination feature for Monday, October 1, 2012

Olympus continues to grow its Pen line of cameras.    I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   Olympus has been one of the pioneers in bringing mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras  to consumers with its micro four-thirds standard shared with Panasonic.   The new models, says Technical Specialist Rick Sasserath are aimed at consumers looking to move up from point and shoot cameras…

“We have the E PL-5 as well as the E PM-2 and in a lot of ways they are a lot alike.  However the E PL-5 has a couple of different options that the E PM-2 does not.  First and foremost they are both very affordable, compact cameras with a lot to offer.  They both have the same image quality as our very, very popular Olympus OM-D EM5 camera.”

Which is very good and includes a rugged build and a built in electronic viewfinder.    It is more expensive than the new models arriving this month for under 700 dollars.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
