A Contact Manager That's a Goldmine

Techstination feature for Tuesday, March 7, 2000

The best PC tool for tracking contacts, clients or customers. I'm Fred Fishkin with Bootcamp, a report on computers and technology. Goldmine Software has been around for a decade now, more than holding its own against some pretty stiff competition in the contact management business. The reason? It does so much more when it comes to sales and marketing automation. Executive VP Jon Ferrara... says the trick is to have a package that can do some pretty complicated tasks in an uncomplicated way...

"Goldmine was founded ten years ago with the simple vision that people do not work in a vacuum. They work as a larger team and everybody in that team touches the customer. And what Goldmine allows that team to do is to work more effectively by enabling each of the different team members in a company to manage their relationships with the outside people that that business works with as well as communicate between each other."

It integrates easily with Microsoft Outlook and with handheld organizers. And maybe even that digital wireless phone...

"We're working very closely with leading phone providers like Nokia, Ericsson and Motorola, to ensure that Goldmine can leverage the latest wave of new technology. So before I leave on a tour, I can actually synchronize my phonebook directly into my Nokia phone."

Single user versions of the software sell for under two hundred dollars. You can find more information at Goldmine.com.
