Let your smartphone analyze your golf swing. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. A new gadget called SwingTip is designed to attach to a golf club and communicate via Bluetooth to iOS and Android phones. An app then analyzes your swing using the computing power of the phone. It’s from a company called Mobiplex where CEO Vijay Nadkarni says…
“The app that we have on the smartphone essentially helps them see their swing visually and also understand the various metrics about the swing such as the swing speed and other various characteristics. And basically lets a golfer improve their game in a very profound manner.”
Nadkarni says he invented the SwingTip to help with his own game…it worked for him…and he’s worked with pro golfers to get it right. The price, about a hundred thirty dollars. There’s more info at SwingTip.com. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
