Turning an iPad into a retro game machine

Turning an iPad into a retro game machine.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   Discovery Bay Games, which created the Atari Arcade accessory for iPads, is now out with more gadgets to enhance game play on the platform.   Duo Pinball is a Bluetooth enabled dock that gives an iPad a spring ball launcher and flipper buttons.   It makes playing pinball games on the iPad about as close to the real thing as you can get.   Also new is the Duo Gamer that gives you a console like controller for playing Gameloft games.   CEO Mike Sievert…

“Well it’s all about creating great experiences that people love.  You have to be passionate about game play, and that’s what we are.  We’re all about making games that are built on hit brands and hit experiences and really interacting with people and engaging them.”

The products succeed in merging the new digital devices with familiar nostalgic games.   There’s more info at DiscoveryBayGames.com.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
