What's new with the Galaxy Note II

What’s new with the Galaxy Note II.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp,  a report on gadgets and gear.    It’s the latest big screen smartphone from Samsung.   The Galaxy Note II is available from more carriers than its predecessor and adds some nifty new features to a phone that with a five and a half inch screen can pretty well double as a tablet.  In fact, it comes with Samsung’s S Pen for note taking, drawing and more.   Director of Product Marketing Ryan Bidan….

“It’s not just a replacement for your finger.  It’s far more accurate, so very pointer, very precision oriented.  And so what we’ve done is actually put a lot of great features in the device to take advantage of that additional accuracy.  For example, we’ve got a feature called Air View now, where you can hover your S Pen over the screen.  Once you get to within about a half an inch of the screen you can start to get more information.”

A cool feature.  While the phone may be just too big for some to consider…for many,  the size isn’t a problem.  Samsung sold more than 10 million of the original Galaxy Notes.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.  I’m Fred Fishkin.
