Telenav’s latest smartphone solutions to get you where you’re going. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Telenav has been one of the companies that helped to make navigation popular on smartphones. The latest apps for Android and IOS are called Scout and they’re designed to give you voice guided turn by turn directions and more. Associate director of product marketing Hari Srinivasan….
“First, we like to call it a personal navigator. And I think it’s one of the world’s first personal navigators. And what that means is everything we do with all the information that shows up in the app is personalized to you. So let me give you a couple examples. All you need to do is enter your home and work and every time you open the app you’ll get personalized traffic times. Similarly, every time you search for something it will remember your recent place. It will remember the places you bookmarked. So it makes it really, really easy to keep finding the places you like to go to.”
The basic versions of Scout, which include traffic, are free. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
