Those screens on your desk are getting touchier. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Like it or not, most new computers today are shipping with Windows 8. And one of the things that makes the operating system worthwhile is touch screen capability. Using the tiles seems more natural that way and that should sell more touch screen notebooks and monitors. ViewSonic has begun shipping a new line of Windows 8 certified touch screens and director of product marketing Erik Willey says…
“We’re launching a 23 inch model called the TD2340. This display utilizes an IPS LED panel. So in addition to ten point touch, you’re getting superior front of screen performance, full ergonomics. You can raise this up into a traditional monitor configuration or even put it flat on the desktop.”
Pricing is under six hundred dollars. 27 and 32 inch models are on the way as well. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
