Otterbox adds some new Armor.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.     Otterbox, a company that pioneered the creation of ruggedized cases for phones, is out with a new line this month called Armor.   The company’s Kelly Richardson says the Armor line is designed to live up to its name…

“So it will provide waterproof protection up to 6.6 feet underwater for about thirty minutes.  It’ll provide drop proof protection from ten feet and then crush protection for up to two tons of force.  So you can definitely take this case, put it through the rigors and know that it will be protected and not have to worry about anything kept inside.”

The Armor series will initially be available for the iPhone4, 4S, the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S III.  The ultimate kind of protection carries a price tag of about a hundred dollars.   There’s more info at Otterbox.com.  You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com.  I’m Fred Fishkin.
