Microsoft’s Office 365.  Software by subscription.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    There are lots of choices for consumers and businesses when it comes to buying the latest Office package from Microsoft, but the company is giving plenty of incentives to choose the subscription versions dubbed Office 365.   The home premium version costs 100 dollars a year and lets you install it on five computers or Windows tablets at a time.  Updates are free and says Senior Marketing Manager Jevon Fark…

“You get the familiar applications you know and love like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook and those applications connect to the cloud via SkyDrive, Microsoft’s storage solution for consumers in the cloud.”

So you can access from anywhere.    There are alternatives, including some that are free, but for the familiarity, compatibility and power of the Office suite, the deal which amounts to 20 dollars a year per computer is pretty compelling.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.  I’m Fred Fishkin.
