A faucet that can dry your hands too.   The latest from Dyson.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    While probably best known to consumers for their vacuums, Dyson has been making a dent in the hand drying business with its Airblade machines that use high speed air, without heat.  That saves money in public restrooms on paper towels and energy.  Now Dyson is out with several new models that use a powerful, but smaller, new motor.   The most unique is the Airblade Tap, which delivers water for washing and air for drying right at the sink.  Lead engineer Marcus Hartley…

“We call that kind of our game changer if you like.  It completely changes how people think and interact with a hand dryer.  You do everything within your owned confined space.  You can wash and dry all over the sink, not creating any kind of slip hazards or anything.  It’s kind of a very different concept for us.  There’s nothing out there, that we know of, in the world at the moment.”
