If you rely on WiFi hotspots, there’s some good news from Boingo and AT&T. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. AT&T and Boingo announced a new hotspot roaming agreement this month that should offer some benefits to their subscribers. AT&T customers who have international roaming subscriptions will be able to use Boingo’s hotspots at international airports. About the benefits to Boingo subscribers, Communications VP Christian Gunning says they’ll have access to AT&T 30 thousand hotspot locations throughout the U.S.. About Boingo subscrptions…
“You can sign up for a Boingo Americas account, which gives you access to North and South America for 9.95 a month. That’s unlimited access at any one of our hotspots within North and South America. Either the ones that we operate or the ones that are accessible through roaming agreements that we have with different providers.”
