Sony gets fit.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   Sony Electronics has announced a new laptop line called Vaio Fit.   As the name implies, they are thin and light and even the prices have been trimmed down.   Product Manager Hans Casto….

“They come in 14 and 15 inch screen sizes.   There will be 2 lines within Fit, Fit and Fit E.  Fit being one that’s made out of aluminum and really going for that clean, thin design, but still maintaining the optical drive.  And then we have Fit E, which is going to be a quality plastic type of material, but really focusing on sound quality but still keeping high resolution displays and things like that that are standard for the Fit series.”

Touch screens are an option on the models.  Pricing for the Fit E line starts at about 550 dollars with the aluminum Fit models selling for a hundred dollars more.   Sony is bundling in some neat software it calls its Imagination Studio as well.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
