A keyboard that fits in your pocket. I'm Fred Fishkin with Bootcamp, a ThirdAge.com report on computers and technology. Every once in a while, we tell you about something you have to see to believe. In this case, we'll steer you to a Web site called ThinkOutside.com, so you can see the folding keyboard created by the company for those popular little Palm computers. It's ingenious! Think Outside CEO Bob Olodort...

"The goal was to have a keyboard you could touch type on very comfortably and very quickly, but to somehow have that keyboard very portable. And so basically what we did, we figured out a way to take a standard keyboard, but we figured out a way to fold it up so you could actually put it in a pocket and it's about the same size as a Palm III when it's folded."

It weighs less than half a pound and lets you enter information into the Palm Organizer, provided you can type, much faster than you would be able to using the usual stylus. I've tested it with one of the newest Palm models, the IIIC. That's the one with the color screen. It's a little heavier and pricier, but the color screen makes a big difference when it comes to readability. It doesn't look as sleek as the Palm V and it doesn't have a built in wireless modem like the Palm VII, but I give it my vote for the best Palm device yet.
