The latest budget Android tablets. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. It’s got some impressive specs, like an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad core processor, HD display, expandable memory and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. And the 7 inch Hisense Sero 7 Pro is priced at 149 dollars at Wal-Mart. And the Sero 7 Lite, with a stepped down display and processor, is fifty dollars less. Hisense VP for consumer electronics Peter Erdman…
“These are not like kiddie toys. These are real tablets, but they’re now a lot more accessible to a lot more people who can’t afford maybe the three and four and five hundred dollar tablets.” And these have full access to the Google Play store, etcetera? “Google Play, everything you expect in a tablet are in these tablets here.”
With the new tablets, Hisense, one of the top CE brands in China, hopes to make more of a name for itself in the U.S. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
