The latest Lightroom from Adobe

The latest Lightroom from Adobe.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   Adobe’s Lightroom 5 is officially out and it’s designed to give photo enthusiasts powerful tools to edit and manage their images at a comparatively affordable price.   It has some impressive new features including Upright for correcting distortions.   And says Product Manager Sharad Mangalick….

“One of the benefits that I like to think of is that it’s all non-destructive editing.  That means that every time you change the color, or the white balance or the exposure of your image, we’re not actually changing your underlying image.  It’s a series of instructions that we’re adding to it.  To a photographer, what that means is, you can be very creative with how you edit your photos.”

Lightroom 5 is priced at about 150 dollars, 79 dollars for an upgrade.  And for subscribers to Adobe’s Creative Cloud, it is included for free.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
