Actiontec delivers the ScreenBeam Pro

Techstination feature for Tuesday, July 2, 2013

Actiontec delivers the ScreenBeam Pro.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   It is the first wireless display receiver designed to work with computers using Intel’s new 4th generation chips.  But the new ScreenBeam Pro from Actiontec is useful if you  have a PC running previous versions of the technology called WiDi…or wireless display.   Essentially, the ScreenBeam Pro plugs into the HDMI port of your TV or projector and acts as a wireless HDMI connection.   Actiontec Senior Marketing Director Lesley Kirchman says beyond that…

“The device also works with any cell phone, tablet or a laptop that has Miracast inside of it.  Anything that you can see on a smaller screen,  you can now push it up to the television with the ScreenBeam Pro.”

It is easy to set up and the price is under 70 dollars.   There’s more info at Actiontec.com.  You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
