A look ahead to the new Skylanders Swap Force.    I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    The Skylanders video games for kids, merging physical toys with onscreen play, have turned into a top selling series for Activision, and the new Swap Force title arriving this fall will add a whole new dimension.   Characters with swappable parts.   It’s being developed by Activision studio Vicarious Visions, where co-founder Guha Bala says…

“One of the big things about Skylanders is playing together with your friends, playing cooperatively.  And so with Skylanders Swap Force you can make all kinds of combinations to solve the puzzles that we put in the game, to be able to solve tactical situations with combat.  But it’s just really fun to mix and match and make your Skylander your own.”
