Consumer priced TVs designed to deliver more than respectable sound. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. New JVC TVs from AmTRAN are slim, stylish, feature Internet connected apps and 3D. But what is most noticeable is the sound quality from the built in speakers. Often neglected by TV makers, sound is front and center….in the JVC SL42B-C at 799 dollars and its bigger 47 inch sister at 899. VP Drew Pragliola….
“There’s simply nothing in the marketplace that can touch this. It’s a total of 20 watts of output. It means that they don’t need to go out and buy any external supply, if you will, for sound. That could be a sound bar, it could be hooking it up to their home audio. There is really nothing else that they need to do. This is really taking it out of the box and it works.”
There’s more info on the new models at JVC.com. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
