A wrist watch phone that lets parents track and talk to their kids. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. It’s scheduled to go on sale later this year….but Filip Technologies has now received FCC certification for the Filip smart locator and watch. What can it do? CEO Jonathan Peachey….
“It first of all has full two way voice calling capability and the parent is always in control of who the child can and can’t communicate with. Other features include the ability to locate the child, the ability to set safe zones around the child, or around a destination so if you want to set a zone around your child’s school, if they happen to be old enough to journey to school on their own, you will get a notification, as the parent, that your child has arrived safely at school. And you’ll get a notification when they’re on their way home.”
There are also messaging and emergency functions. Pricing and the carrier have not yet been announced. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
