It’s the latest feature from Netflix.   No, it’s not a film.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   The online movie pioneer Netflix has added a new feature that lots of families will appreciate…the ability to add profiles for up to five members of a household.   Director of Corporate Communications Joris Evers…

“What happens is if you have multiple people using Netflix in your home is that the recommendations become kind of a mash up for everybody in the whole house as opposed to just for you.   So if you are interested in like dark drama and your wife watches romantic comedies and you’ve got some kids who are watching cartoons, the suggestions that you get when you go to your Netflix is a mash up of everybody’s tastes.   And this profiles feature really solves that problem and makes Netflix personal to you again.”
