Disney takes game consoles to Infinity. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Disney Infinity is a new video game franchise that….much like Skylanders from Activision….is designed to meld physical toys with on screen game play. It comes from Disney’s Avalanche Studios where producer John Day says….
“Disney Infinity is a game about playing with Disney toys. And we give players two primary ways they can do this. They have what we call play sets and then the toy box. Play sets are worlds that you can visit that some of these characters come from. We have play sets for the Incredibles and Pirates of the Caribbean. And players can go into these worlds, get kind of more of the story of them. And then we have the toy box. And the toy box is a virtual bedroom floor.”
Where all the characters can play together. Our guess is that’s where kids will migrate most often. The Disney Infinity starter kit sells for about 75 dollars. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
