With lower prices, will more consumers be eyeing Ultra HD TVs.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.     With four times the resolution of standard high def, Ultra HD or 4K TVs look great.   Sony has announced new models, including a 55 inch screen priced at about 35 hundred dollars.     The company also has launched its download service for 4K movies and TV shows that works with an add on Media Player.  Sony Electronics President Phil Molyneux expects consumers will respond…

 “At the time we announced 4K Ultra High Definition, that the surveys were saying it was a tiny proportion of the market.  As we’ve come out with the new products and we’ve lowered the price of entry, we’ve come out with the ecosystem now, those surveys have gone out.  You know the size of the market is much larger.   So I think we’re going to see a pace of change and introduction into this new world that’s much faster than we expected.”
