A new step in wearable tech.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    From smart watches to Google Glasses…there’s a lot of wearable tech arriving.   A company called Heapsylon is taking a new step….with what it calls Sensoria high tech socks.   Sensors are woven into the fabric and attach to a band worn around the ankle…that communicates with your smartphone via Bluetooth.   It can track your steps and speed….and the pressure on different parts of your feet.  Chief Technology Officer Mario Esposito….

“We know for sure that when you run and you run on your heel bone, that’s not a good thing for your body.  There’s a lot of shock waves that come up to the knees.  We can give you real time feedback, if you have a smartphone, on how to adjust your running form.  We are able to determine if you are standing, running, walking or any other thing you may end up doing.”

The company is taking pre-orders…for about 200 dollars…at SensoriaFitness.com.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
