“As televisions get slimmer and people desire this thin, industrial design on the wall of their home, we’ve really squeezed audio out of the television.  So the choices available to consumers a few years ago were only a full AV receiver and dedicated speakers.  So sound bars are really a new option that have appeared in the last few years.”

Vizio’s Director of Product Management for Audio Jason Wehner.   The  company’s new 29, 38 and 42 inch sound bars come in different configurations…with or without sub-woofers or rear speakers.   The now include built in Bluetooth for streaming music from smartphones and tablets.   The sound is impressive, especially given the price points which start at under eighty dollars.  You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
