Adding music or sound effects to books?   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    What if books…were more like movies?   When a character on the page is in danger…you hear music filled with suspense.    A company called Booktrack is out with a tool called Booktrack Studio ….that lets anyone add sound to text.   Co-founder and CEO Paul Cameron…

“It’s a world’s first because what we’re doing is we’re allowing anybody to add a synchronized movie style soundtrack to any story.  You can go online, it’s available through the Chrome store and through our Web site, and people can then write their own stories or bring their own stories that they’ve already written to the platform.  And we’ve got over twenty thousand audio files that they can choose from, all free to use, and then they can instantly publish to the Web.”

You should know Booktrack is designed to work with the Chrome browser on a PC or Mac.  You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
