Need a computer to connect to the net? Not necessarily. I'm Fred Fishkin with Bootcamp, a ThirdAge.com report on computers and technology. Internet appliances are all of a sudden popping up like weeds on your lawn and just like those weeds, it's starting to look like they are here for good. We'll tell you about two of the newest. A company called the Internet Appliance Network is out with what it calls the Web Player. The company's Bonnie Schwartz says Virgin Entertainment branding the browser and just about giving them away to customers who fit the right demographic. They're sleek, fast and easy...

"Internet appliances are called appliances because they're as easy to use as your toaster or your microwave and can be used all around the house... in the kitchen, in your living room, in the den. It also has a wireless, infrared keyboard."

Unfortunately, only select customers can get them. You can try to sign up at Virginconnect.com. Look for more companies to start branding these devices too. Another unique net appliance sounds more like a car... .the Neo... from Eisa.com. The big news here is a built in a DVD player...

"The DVD player is the most popular consumer device in history and we added Internet functionality to it."

Eisa.com President Campbell Angus. It plugs into your TV and your phone line. The price.. just 99 dollars if you agree to two years worth of Internet access at 24 dollars a month. There's more information at Neo.com. You can find us at ThirdAge.com. Bootcamp, I'm Fred Fishkin for CBS News.
