Toshiba’s price barrier breaking Satellite Click.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.     Toshiba is out with the Satellite Click,  a notebook with a touch screen that separates to act as a standalone Windows 8 tablet.   It includes a 500 gigabyte hard drive and runs on an AMD A4 processor.  The big news, is the under 600 dollar price tag.   Senior Product Manager Duc Dang…

“On the Satellite Click itself, we’ll have a detachable keyboard.  The keyboard portion will have an additional battery.  So you have two batteries that will be integrated into the Satellite Click.  And in addition to that, on the keyboard we’ll have a USB 3.0 slot for connecting a USB media device or a keyboard or a mouse.”

The tablet portion includes micro SD, USB and HDMI ports as well.   It isn’t the thinnest and lightest machine around…and the processor isn’t the snappiest…but the Satellite Click, available at Best Buy stores, does offer good value.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
