A brighter idea in solar light bulbs.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    A company called Nokero Solar has been in the business of creating LED lights equipped with batteries that are charged by built in solar panels.   They are being used for lots of purposes, but are especially needed in developing countries where electricity can be scarce.   So it’s pretty significant that Nokero is now out with a solar bulb at a dramatically lower price.   CEO Steve Katsaros…

“It’s the N180 Start and it’s the thing that I’m most passionate about.   Because we can deploy these in huge numbers because of the extreme affordability of the product.  It will retail for around five to six dollars.”

Nokero has other solar powered bulbs that are brighter, including the new N222.  There’s more info at Nokero.com.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
