Using low power Bluetooth to help you find your stuff.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.  If you have a recent model iOS or Android smartphone that  uses Bluetooth Smart, also called low power Bluetooth…there are lots of ways to use it.  A company called Phone Halo, for instance, has created the Wallet TrackR and the StickR Trackr.   They use apps to help you easily find what they’re inside of or attached to.   Founder and CEO Christian Smith says it doesn’t end there…

“We’re proud to announce that we’re also keeping track of your glasses with a product that we call Glasses TrackR.  It’s a slim little device that slips right onto the earpiece of your glasses arm and seamlessly blends into your glasses.  This little Bluetooth device communicates to our TrackR app and allows you to, at the press of a button, find your glasses.”

Talk about useful technology.  The Glasses TrackR will arrive next spring for about 29 dollars.  There’s more info on the other devices as well at PhoneHalo.com.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
