Ditching your wireless contract to save some money. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. It’s no secret that contracts with the big mobile carriers are pretty expensive. Moving to a no contract plan….can save you plenty. One of the cheapest is Zact Mobile where Senior Director of Communications Jennifer Caukin says….
“You basically can set up your plan as low as 3 dollars and 49 cents a month. It’s pretty low priced, very affordable. You choose your own amount of voice, text and data. And the neat thing here is you can select your plan and adjust and manage it right on your device.”
Parents may want to look at plans designed for kids that give them control over when phones can be used. One of the downsides to no contract carriers is often the lack of phone selection. Republic Wireless is now selling the Moto X…a great Android handset…for 299 dollars. And Republic’s top of the line unlimited talk, text and data plan is a reasonable 40 dollars a month. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
