Some alternative choices when it comes to tablets.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    Apple still rules the roost when it comes to tablets with the new iPad Air and iPad Mini with Retina display.    But there are some worthy competitors out there.   Amazon’s Kindle Fire HDX features snappy performance, a great display and interface.  But you will have to buy all of your apps through Amazon’s app store.   For access to the Google Play store….there are many bargain tablets out there.  Wal-Mart has an exclusive on Monster’s 7” M7….priced at about 150 dollars.   It’s available in multi colors and offers good performance for the money.  Wal-Mart has also partnered with Hisense on its Sero line of Android tablets.   The 7 inch pro model offers decent performance and is now priced at just 129 dollars.    VP Peter Erdman…

“They are loaded with features and apps.  And these are not like kiddie toys.  These are real tablets.”
