Cool techie toys for the holidays. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. If you’re still on the lookout for techie toys for kids of all ages…there are plenty to choose from. WowWee’s RoboMe is an 80 dollar robot that’s is fun on its own. But slip an iPhone or iPod Touch onto the face….and it takes on the personality of your choice….uses the camera and more. Chief Technology Officer Davin Sufer…
“You can fully customize his character, you can teach him new tricks, you can interact with him using voice recognition. And you can even control him over the Internet to see through his camera and control him remotely.”
Another iOS centric toy is the iStrike Shuttle from DreamCheeky.com. It’s a Bluetooth controlled helicopter…that takes some practice to control. It carries a ping pong ball weapon that you can drop onto unsuspecting targets. It sells for about 90 dollars. You can find us with archives, interviews and more, at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
