Your game console as a guitar teacher

Your video game console as a guitar teacher.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   Ubisoft is out with the 2014 edition of Rocksmith….for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.   It is designed to work with real guitars that have standard quarter inch plugs…and what it does is turn your game console into a guitar teacher with lots of patience.   Lead audio designer Nick Bonardi….

“It’s meant for beginners all the way up to expert players.   It’s meant to take someone who really doesn’t know how to play and give them those initial skills and kind of piggy back on a natural tendency of video games to teach people.”

Games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band could teach you timing, but Rocksmith can really teach you how to play…

“It seems to be a no brainer that if you’re able to make a game like that …that people are able to play but actually has a real guitar…more time in the seat of playing guitar, the better you get.”

You can find Rocksmith for about fifty dollars.  You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
