Am I going to get a shot?   Amy Baxter is a doctor who had that issue with her own child….and decided to develop a solution.  Buzzy for Shots…uses a small cold pack and vibrations….to block the pain…using what is called gate control…

“If your jiggle your jaw at the dentist or if you rub when you bumped your elbow, you can block out the sharp pain.  So Buzzy’s vibration, combined with an ice pack, can block sharp pain.  You just put it on the place where the shot’s going to be or where the pain is and if you have to give a shot, then move it toward the brain.  So Buzzy goes between the brain and the pain and it uses physiology to block the sharp pain instantly.”
