A watch to help you watch your child. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Filip Technologies is at long last on the market with a bracelet style watch designed for kids to wear that lets parents know where they are. Filip has a speaker phone built in that parents can program with up to five numbers….and the call button can be held down for five seconds for the child to report an emergency. The price is about two hundred dollars …and after an activation fee…service costs ten dollars a month. CEO Jonathan Peachey..
“It’s for kids between the ages of four or five up to about eleven or twelve. And it’s a way for parents to stay connected to their children at all times.”
Filip is innovative and can bring peace of mind. The biggest issues I found are the size…which is bulky especially for a child…and the daily need for recharging. But that is the case with almost any mobile phone. There’s more info at MyFilip.com. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
