Google Glass and autism.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    When it comes to wearable technology,  there’s not much that’s more attention getting than Google Glass, designed to give wearers a heads up display with an Internet connection all the time.  It’s also equipped with a camera.   The technology can also be a help to people on the autism spectrum, like 30 year old author and advocate Paul Louden….

“The nature of Google Glass is what really makes it exciting to me because you always have it with you and you always have it sort of one word or one head nod away from being active.  One of the big challenges for a lot of people on the autism spectrum is sort of self-management stuff.  It’s keeping track of time, keeping track of priorities, understanding and remembering what’s important.  And Google Glass oddly serves as a pretty solid personal assistant because it’s so well incorporated into the Google Now infrastructure.”
