A new technology language learning tool. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Learning a new language is great at any age…and technology and the Internet have been a big help to millions. A company called Chinese Cubes is now adding some innovative tech twists. President Jessie Poe…
“Well we teach Chinese as a second language and we do it through a digital tactile cube. On that cube you have simplified Chinese traditional, you have Pinyin, which is the pronunciation and the English. The other side is the AR code which, when you put in front of the camera that we provide, pops up the Chinese character for you to learn to read, write and speak it. “ So there’s a little camera that looks like a typical Web cam that plugs into a Mac or PC? “Yep. And the camera that we provide has the largest circumference so that you can build really long sentences as you grow in your knowledge.”
The ChineseCubes starter pack with 64 lessons is priced at about 150 dollars. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
