D-Link's new bundle of joy: Wi-Fi Baby Camera

Techstination feature for Wednesday, April 30, 2014

D-Link uses its Internet camera know how to help you keep an eye on baby.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   D-Link has been in the business of making full featured Internet cameras for years.   Now the company is out with a new sphere shaped Wi-Fi Baby Camera….that’s  packed with features.  Marketing VP Dan Kelley …

“Well the big difference is that it’s WiFi so you’re going to be able to watch this camera either from the next room or from two thousand miles away.  And we’ve also built in some very baby focused features if you will.  You can actually change the aesthetics of the camera to make it either pink or blue to match the décor of the room.  It also has a temperature sensor on the back so it can gauge the temperature of the room and if it gets too hot it can send you a text alert.  If it gets too cold, same thing.  And actually it also has a lullaby feature where you can play lullabies from the app that comes along with these cameras.

There’s more including sound and motion detection.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.  I’m Fred Fishkin.
