Activision readies the fourth generation of its top selling Skylanders game franchise.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   They are games that merged physical toys with video games and they’ve turned into a blockbuster franchise for Activision.   This year…Skylanders Trap Team arrives and one of the people involved in its creation, Lou Studdert, says…

“Kids now have this trap and they’re actually able to use it to capture villains inside the game, bring them to life in our world and actually turn that evil into good and then get to play as the villain on the good side.”   It’s a different portal than you’ve had out before, but all previous Skylanders characters are going to work with this?  “That’s correct.  Every single character from the previous Skylanders games.”
