LG’s newest flagship phone.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   It boasts a 5 and a half inch quad HD screen.   LG’s G3 is the company’s follow on to last year’s highly regarded G2….and goes up against the latest from formidable rivals like Apple, Samsung and HTC.  About the G3’s camera,  LG Senior Manager for Brand Marketing Frank Lee says….

“Oh, the camera has OIS plus, 13 megapixels and it has a laser auto focus.  OIS is optical image stabilization and it allows the lens to float independent of the body of the phone so it negates or minimizes camera shake, hand shake when you’re taking your photograph.  Complimenting that is laser auto focus.  So literally in the blink of an eye, the camera is able to determine the distance and contrast so you get a focused shot all the time.”
