84 miles per gallon on three wheels.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   It runs on gasoline….can seat two people…one behind the other…and will cost 6800 dollars.   It is enclosed like a car…even has a steering wheel and air conditioning…but technically…says VP of Sales Jerome Vassallo…it’s a motorcycle.   And while it is taking longer to bring to market than the company had hoped, he says…

“We start production next year, 2015, but we’ve been taking reservations on the vehicle right now and right now, we’re about 18 thousand vehicles.”  Tell me the story behind this.  “Well it started out in 2008 with Paul, Paul Elio.  He was tired of watching basically American wealth leave the country and other countries building what we could and should be building.  So he sat down, he’s a mechanical engineer, sat down and began solving the problem.  And this is what we’ve come up with.”
