Logitech’s UE Boom Speakers get tweaked again. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. The cylinder shaped UE Boom Bluetooth speakers from Logitech have won lots of fans for their great sound and add on features that the company continually updates. There are new special edition models…including ones produced for the World Cup. They are water resistant for the outdoors in summer and work as a speakerphone…and even an alarm clock….using Logitech’s app. Ultimate Ears business head Rory Dooley says it doesn’t stop there…
“We have a road map of features from the software point of view that we’ll continue rolling out over the next 12 months. And what that does basically is, it allows us to keep the product competitive in the market. Not just for people buying the product new but for people who bought the product a year ago as well.”
The speakers sell for about 200 dollars with the UE Boom Mini line priced at about half that. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
