A serious compact system camera from Samsung.    I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.  It’s the newest flagship mirrorless camera from Samsung…the NX30.   And while it isn’t as tiny as some of the competition from the likes of Olympus and Sony…it has a lot going for it like a 20 megapixel APSC sensor,  WiFi…and one of my favorite features on any camera…an articulating 3 inch display.   Samsung imaging senior marketing manager Jay Kelbley…

“The camera looks like a DSLR.  It still has kind of a bump on the top for an electronic viewfinder as opposed to an optical viewfinder.   Since it’s mirrorless, it can be smaller and lighter and even higher performance than a traditional DSLR.  This camera can shoot at 9 frames per second.  It also has very high autofocus performance.  Much higher than most traditional cameras.”

You can find the NX30 with a kit lens for under 900 dollars.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
