Using some of that built in smartphone tech…in a game for kids.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    Sorry iPhone or Android families…this one is for Microsoft Windows Lumia phones and tablets.   The software giant has partnered with Dreamworks to create Dragons Adventure World Explorer…a game designed to be played on Windows mobile devices that uses the GPS technology inside.   Microsoft innovation and app development producer Pete Mauro…

“Before you go on a car ride, you punch in the destination address and the game will create a customized quest for your particular journey.  So if you’re going to soccer practice, the actual world will get transformed around you, your actual neighborhood,  the roads and streets and go on different quests.  And when you arrive, the game actually winds down automatically so there’s no conflict to hand the device back.”

Isn’t that welcome.  Again Dreamworks Dragons Adventure World Explorer is free for Windows phones and tablets.  You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
