A cell phone case designed for a different kind of protection.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    Over the years there have been sometimes conflicting reports about the danger of radiation from cell phones.   And there have been cases designed to reduce radiation.   A company called Pong Research has new models for the iPhone 5s and the Galaxy S4…with others arriving…that it says offer protection and signal boosting as well.   Marketing Manager Cassie Lentz…

“It takes the outbound signal and it increases the signal to the tower which helps with your range.  And then also while doing that, it takes the wireless radiation that your phone emits, it’s potentially harmful so we don’t want anything like that going into our head and body…so it pulls it towards the back of the phone and redirects it away from your head and body. “
