Versatility in a new little projector from Sprint. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. The LivePro is a unique Internet connected projector created by ZTE that can connect via WiFi or Sprint’s data network. In fact, it’s an Android tablet of sorts with a built in screen…but it’s the ability to project onto a wall that makes it so different. It runs apps…so you can take it on the road and if you have a Slingbox, for instance, you can watch your home cable or satellite system from anywhere. The LivePro, which is priced at about three hundred dollars with a Sprint data contract, can also serve as a mobile hotspot and its built in battery can be used to charge other devices. For folks who want a very portable projector, it’s about five inches square and only about an inch thick, it could be ideal for business presentations. For entertainment purposes…you would probably want to have it plugged in and connected to WiFi. The battery won’t get you too far streaming video with the projector turned on.
