All of that wearable technology is pretty flashy. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Smart watches….fitness bands…and the latest ultra light computers, tablets and smart phones are rapidly increasing the demand for flash memory. At Toshiba, the inventor of flash memory…that’s good news…
“So, we supply NAND flash chips to manufacturers like Apple, Dell for a long time and then about two years ago we decided to enter the retail market.”
Product Marketing Manager Nick Chiew. Toshiba is on the market with a variety of memory cards for digital cameras and phones. It also has the TransMemory Pro USB drives…up to 128 gigabytes… that can boost the sometimes limited storage capacity of computers and tablets. The drives include security software as well and there are bigger capacities to come. There’s more info at Toshiba.com/US. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com.
